The most hardcore flower

Serious contender? YES! at around 60 g's you can have a true bred sports car. with half the cylinders, and over a 100 hp drop from the slk 55, this car still woops it. 0-60 in 4 sec. one whole sec off the slk's time. and 25 mpg? pretty sweet. Granted, the mercedes is everything this isnt. But remember, this is best sports car for price, not luxury mixed with sportyness. This is where the lotus exige destroys its competitors. Less then 4 feet tall, the g forces exerted give the driver and passenger such a greater feel of speed. You obv dont get that v8 growl, but with the 1 sec 0-60 diff. i can live with a blender noise. lol. braking is obviously amazing, almost going from 60-0 in less then 3 digits. Which is incredible, and slalom times thatd make a corvette look like a hummer on a wet road. This car is just amazing. Watch out, this car is top 3 in my list for competitors in my list. Not telling where it places.

rollin in the benz

The 8 cyl. small convertible benz. Probably not exactly what you think of when you think of mercedes benz. Your probably thinking of the big luxurious s series or the sporty cl series. But today im gunna talk about the small SLK 55 amg. starting at 65 g's you get a 5.4 liter 8 cyl engine and a 7 speed auto transmission. True v8 rumble is really recognized with this car. it has capable, not stunning handling, and an awesome hardtop convertible. With 355 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque this is no baby toy either. It roared its way to 60 mph from a dead stop in just under 5 sec and busted the quarter mile in 13 sec. Its perfect weight distobution of 50/50 also helps its handiling as under or over steer are virtually non-existent. at an average mpg of 17, its no fuel sipper. But hey, its a v8, dont complain. with a braking distance from 60-0 in 115 feet, even with a weight almost hitting 2 tons. Thats just AWESOME. Basically a shelby cobra in a tux.

The little electric that could

As you most likely guessed, this blog was created to try to figure one thing out. Whats the best exotic or modern muscle car in the u.s.a for the price? (obviously im against Obama's strong push on alternative fuel sources) lol. And since i really love big blocks and huge gas guzzling engines that'll get you from 0-60 in the sub-4 second range, im going to go ahead and get out only car that doesnt use gas out of the way. You're probably asking yourself, why is he putting a hybrid in a blog like this. Well actually its not even a hybrid. It's the new 2009 Tesla Roadster, which actually runs 100% on battery. It goes from 0-60 in under 4 seconds, and goes up to 220 miles on a single charge!!!!!! AMAZING!!! It also has a top speed on 125 mph. It charges to 100% battery capacity in only 3.5 hours, less then your remote control car that lasts only about 20 min. The watermelon sized battery that moves this amazing machine generate up to 250 horsepower and 276 pound feet of torque!!!! It's not cheap though, coming in at $105,000. And you won't be getting next day shipping with a waiting time for this car of up to 9 months. It comes in 13 different breathe taking colors and offers over 20 different types of interior colors. As for safety. This is about as safe as you can get, having everything from ABS brake system to all traction tires and traction control. Another point to bring up with safety is that theres no motor anywhere. So if you get hit straight on or anywhere you wont have to deal with a 500 lb engine ending up on your lap thats 600 degrees and has parts moving at over 8,000 rotations per minute. Thats a major thumbs up.
So basically for around the price of a new viper, you can get the same performance, more safety, have that smile that says "im glad im saving the enviornment", and the most unique car on the road.
On the down side, you wont get that gruntle of the 10 cylinder engine, and you wont be able to go past 125 mph.
